Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller declared that the Marian title Co-Redemptrix expresses “a truth objectively contained in revelation”. He said at the De Maria numquam satis conference in Rome on October 8 that the title is neither “a misleading attribution nor an enthusiastic exaggeration.” “This title must not be silenced because of rejection by Protestants,” Cardinal Müller said, criticizing the Protestant understanding of justification for excluding man's free cooperation in redemption. Cardinal Müller also rejected the objection that the title Co-Redemptrix appeared only in the late Middle Ages. “The fact that a truth of faith is contained in Revelation must not be confused with its conceptual formulation,” he said, comparing its development to the later theological formulation of Christological doctrines. “Anyone who knows the rules of Catholic theology can find no reason for scandal in the analogical use of Christological and soteriological titles,” he added. A house (church) divided against itself, will not last. The traditionalists MUST hold fast and never accept the modernist ideas that are attacking dogma and morality.
Australian Bishop Emeritus Christopher Saunders, 76, was sentenced on Wednesday to six years and six months in prison for sexually abusing two young Aboriginal men in Western Australia. Saunders led the Diocese of Broome from 1996 until 2021. He was convicted in August of 12 counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual penetration. The offences occurred between 2008 and 2019. He was acquitted of six other charges and will be eligible for parole in February 2031. Saunders stepped aside in 2020 following allegations of sexual misconduct and misuse of Church funds. An initial police investigation was closed in 2021 due to insufficient evidence. During the trial, prosecutors alleged that Saunders used Church funds to provide young Aboriginal men with alcohol, cigarettes, cash and other benefits. The Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference apologised to the victims following the sentencing, acknowledging the harm caused by the abuse and the betrayal of trust. #newsArjlqscvyz
“It’s very clear to me that there was more unity in the Church when we were living under Summorum Pontificum than we are now under Traditionis Custodes.” Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco made the remarks in an interview with TribuneChretienne.com on October 8. He said that the radical liturgical changes following Vatican II had damaged, and in some cases even destroyed, Catholics’ faith. Cordileone also pointed to a generational reversal: Young Catholics increasingly seek to recover tradition, while older generations remain attached to the changes introduced in their youth. What still feels new to the Vatican II generation, he observed, looks like a bygone era to young Catholics, who are searching for something timeless.
Archbishop Cordileone of San Francisco: "There was more unity in the Church when we were living under Summorum Pontificum than we are now under Traditionis Custodes."
1. The Church has unity. Not "more or less" but unity (of Faith and worship) as the basis/basic characteristics. If there is no such unity, well, you should search for the Church in another place. 2. If he said: It’s very clear to me that there was the greater fiction of unity between the Church and the neo-modernist Revolution when we were living under Summorum Pontificum than we are now under Traditionis Custodes, I would say: true indeed but he prefers to present the false description/diagnosis. 3. No Catholic is "under Traditionis Custodes" as that tyrannical document is null and void. Only "dumb dogs" prophesized by Isaias (Is 56) - sleeping and loving dreams - are under it.
A proponent of women’s ordination, Sister Mary Teresa Barron (57), will become president of the Pontifical Mission Societies. Pope Leo XIV also appointed the Irishwoman as adjunct secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelization. She will take office on January 4, 2027.
Leo XIV appoints religious sister – lobbying for female ordinations – to senior leadership position in the Roman Curia. On October 8, Pope Leo XIV appointed Sister Mary Teresa Barron as Adjunct Secretary of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies. The Pontifical Mission Societies is a global network supporting missionary activity, particularly in Africa, Asia, Oceania and parts of Latin America. Born in Ireland, Sr. Mary became a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles. The missionary congregation was founded in Lyon, France, in 1876 for evangelization, particularly in Africa. “Some women sense a call to priesthood” At a Vatican press conference during the Synod on Synodality in 2024, Sister Barron argued for the ordination of women: “Is the Spirit calling women? Because some women do sense a call to priesthood or diaconate.” Sister Barron believes that “we have to look at broader than just can or can we not …Has köp
Here’s where we’ve arrived. In the presence of the Holy Father, during an event dedicated to the nefarious document *Amoris Laetitia* — of the now-deceased Argentine pope (though the disastrous effects of his pontificate still persist) — a nun suggests that Jesus’ initial approach toward the Samaritan woman was... a flirt. “A theory elaborated by one of my Dominican confreres.” The blasphemous nun, Sister Helen Alford, O.P., is the president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.
At the Vatican’s Amoris Laetitia anniversary event, Sr. Helen Alford, O.P., approvingly presented a fellow Dominican’s “provocative” description of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman as beginning with a “flirt” — adding that “the ambiguity persists” before Christ confronts her with the truth.
"It is impossible for any created good to constitute man's happiness. For happiness is the perfect good, which lulls the appetite altogether; else it would not be the last end, if something yet remained to be desired. Now the object of the will, i.e. of man's appetite, is the universal good; just as the object of the intellect is the universal true. Hence it is evident that naught can lull man's will, save the universal good. This is to be found, not in any creature, but in God alone; because every creature has goodness by participation. Wherefore God alone can satisfy the will of man, according to the words of Ps. 102:5: "Who satisfieth thy desire with good things." Therefore God alone constitutes man's happiness." — St. Thomas Aquinas
Papal Infallibility Does Not Mean Papal Perfection Papal infallibility does not mean the pope is perfect or immune to error. It only applies to formal proclamations of dogma regarding faith and morals, made with the intention of teaching the entire church. While the pope is a sinner and can make mistakes, the grace of the papacy allows him to speak infallibly when necessary. Fr. “It felt like a nightmare.” Canadian Cardinal Marc Ouellet has spoken about the four-year ordeal of being accused of sexual assault, after a Quebec court ruled in his favor in a defamation case and found the allegations against him unfounded. Speaking to Rome Reports on October 7, Ouellet said: “It felt like a nightmare, a very difficult and costly experience, because I had to hire lawyers to defend myself, and this had an impact on my reputation, my moral authority, my health, and many other things.” “I think that today, with all the cases that have been publicized, there's actually a presumption of guilt, and so I felt like I was under this cloud of suspicion and doubt.” “I'm afraid the damage can't really be undone.”

The Church’s “Special Forces”… Liturgy of October 11, 2026– 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Dear brothers and sisters, the saints—like Saint Paul—are part of the Church’s “special forces,” so to speak; in fact, they are trained by God to face every situation, even extreme ones, in order to carry on the cause of the Gospel… Indeed, in the passage from the Letter to the Philippians that we're going to listen to on Sunday, October 11, Saint Paul states: “I am trained for anything and everything—for plenty and for hunger, for abundance and for want” (Phil 4:12-13). With an unshakeable fidelity to Christ: “Who, then, will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom 8:35, 37). Ready to die in order to win brothers and sisters for God. “I have made myself all things to all people, so that by all means I might save some” (1 Corinthians …Has köp
Very tense exchange between Bérénice, a doctor of philosophy and professor, and Elwan, a 17-year-old high school student. As he challenges her legitimacy to speak about school, she responds: "This young man is not going to explain to me what a teacher's mission is." Then she recalls what she considers to be the role of the educator: to transmit "the heritage of past centuries" and "the great works." Before concluding, dryly: "I am the possessor of knowledge and you are not. You are a student." A sequence that sums up the debate on authority in school all by itself.
Leo XIV sounds decentralizing: “new paths” for local Churches. At yesterday’s meeting on Amoris Laetitia, Pope Leo XIV spoke of “the (alleged) fruits that Amoris Laetitia has borne in our local Churches.” And then: “It will also help the local Churches to recognize new paths and to involve all the baptized more deeply in the Church’s synodal journey.”
Pope Leo XIV calls on the Church to gather the “fruits” of 10 years of Amoris Laetitia — saying they should nourish the whole Church and help local Churches “recognize new paths.”
