Today, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X has published the coats of arms and episcopal mottos of the four bishops to be ordained on Wednesday. Fr Pascal Schreiber's Family Lions Fr Pascal Schreiber has chosen the motto Virgo Fidelis ("Virgin Most Faithful"), one of the invocations from the Litany of Loreto. Episcopal mottos are usually drawn from the Bible or express the bishop's personal mission. His coat of arms contains personal references. The two lions are taken from his family's coat of arms. Each holds a golden quill, a canting reference to the surname Schreiber ("scribe"). The colours black, red, and gold are a nod to his German homeland. Fr Michael Goldade's Twelve Ears of Wheat Fr Michael Goldade's motto, Adeamus cum fiducia ("Let us go with confidence"), comes from Hebrews 4:16. The defining feature of his coat of arms is the twelve ears of wheat. Besides symbolizing the Eucharist, they recall North Dakota and Kansas, his places of origin and upbringing, also his …ਹੋਰ
Thursday, June 25 – Saint William of Vercelli, Abbot, Founder of the Congregation of Hermits – Saint Prosper of Aquitaine, Doctor of the Church – Blessed Benvenuto of Gubbio, lay brother, First Franciscan Order
On June 24, Leo XIV has appointed Rev. Anand David Xalxo, 50, Vicar General and Rector of St. Mary's Cathedral in Ranchi, as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Ranchi, India. The Archdiocese of Ranchi comprises about 180k Catholics, 35 parishes, more than 300 priests and over 1,000 religious sisters. Born in Mandar on 20 November 1975, Monsignor Xalxo was ordained a priest in 2006. Over the past two decades he has served in a variety of pastoral and administrative roles. On July 5, 2019, Rev. Xalxo spoke with UcaNews.com about the Eastern meditation method yoga. He said that most Catholic schools in the Archdiocese practice yoga daily “to build up positive energy, good health, and mental stability.” “There is no opposition to yoga in our schools. There are instances of our priests and nuns practicing it and teaching others,” he said. Cardinal Ratzinger wrote in 1989 that Eastern methods including yoga are "not free from dangers and errors" harmful to Catholic spirituality. A Product …ਹੋਰ
On June 25, Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller commented on the Vatican's rejection of the German bishops' proposal to allow lay preaching during the Eucharist. Key excerpts: - "One must not separate the Liturgy of the Word from the Eucharistic liturgy by having a layperson preach the first part and an ordained priest celebrate the second." - "Luther already condemned this as an abuse, accusing priests and bishops of no longer being servants of the Word but mere ritualists." - "The Council of Trent taught that sacramentally ordained priests were instituted by Christ as ministers of both the Word and the Sacraments." - "One cannot arbitrarily divide priestly ministry and outsource parts of it without effectively denying the sacramental priesthood in a Protestant sense." - "Ironically, those who most eagerly invoke Vatican II contradict it on the question of lay preaching during Mass." - "Germany's perpetual protesters should study the foundations of Catholic theology instead of driving the …ਹੋਰ
In his 1995 article on Romans 9–11, the future Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Tucho Fernández, wrote that "all will be saved." His goal is to “relativize the very basis from which questionable doctrines were elaborated,” wherein the "questionable doctrines" is Catholicism as developed from Scripture by St. Augustine, the Fathers, and the Scholastics, notes ElWanderer.com on June 23. Fernández believes that Augustine's teaching "requires a revision" and later claims that Augustine's doctrine "did not offer a complete and harmonious vision of God, man and Christian experience." "I know God's concrete plans" Tucho's most extraordinary claim is: "I firmly trust that all will be saved; a trust based not on a desire, nor on my compassion for men, but on what I know of God and of His concrete plans thanks to His Revelation." ElWanderer notes that the Church has never received a revelation that all men will be saved. On the contrary. The Council of Trent teaches that …ਹੋਰ

After the election of Leo XIV, Aldo Maria Valli wanted to believe in the new pope and in the possibility of a change of direction, he admitted on his blog on June 25. Valli was the longtime Vatican correspondent for Italy’s public broadcaster, RAI. But: “The cold shower (or rather, a whole series of cold showers) quickly woke me from that dream in the form of statements fully in line with the Bergoglian disaster and a succession of ‘peace & love’ initiatives, marked by a shallow humanitarianism completely devoid of references to transcendence, sin, conversion, and the salvation of the soul.” On the consistory on Friday and Saturday, he writes: “Under Leo XIV, the Church is not merely avoiding any reversal of course; it is enthusiastically reaffirming the synodal model, transforming it into a permanent method of ecclesial governance.” Valli points to the names of the cardinals (Ryś, Fernández, Brislin, and Grech) chosen to lead the principal sessions. It is, he says, a gathering of …ਹੋਰ
And the poisonous menu Prevost serves up in his rebellion against God—the worship of false gods and the paganism that violates the First Commandment, as well as disobedience and defiance of God’s NATURAL law and the rejection of the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit through the profanation of the body—by means of sodomy, adultery, and every kind of immorality and sexual perversion.
"...And you feel like crying: for your friend, for the papacy, and for the Church." What a terrible misfortune... and we all have conservative friends...
Weak? More like pride. If you don't agree with women, they will always try to prove they are right. And they will do anything to do it. That is not all women, but most.
Italian historian Roberto de Mattei reflected on the announced episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) in an article published on CorrispondenzaRomana.it on June 24. "State of Necessity" Cannot Be Self-Judged For De Mattei, the state of necessity argument is simultaneously "the weakest and the strongest argument". His question is: "Who has the authority to verify the existence of such a state and determine its beginning and end?" He argues that if the FSSPX can independently determine when a state of necessity exists, then it also implicitly claims the authority to determine when that state ends. That would place the FSSPX in a position of judging the Holy See rather than being judged by it. De Mattei acknowledges that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was not a speculative theologian or canonist, but a pastor of souls: "The decisive criterion for him was not the assertion of a right proper to the FSSPX, but the spiritual need of the faithful." Can Any Bishop …ਹੋਰ
Mirare Joannem, quantum potes: Christo proficit quod miraris Admire John as much as you can: your admiration glorifies Christ Saint Augustine, Sermon 391, In Natali Joannis Baptistae – On the Birth of John the Baptist V, Paragraph 1 Latin and English In June 1929, this article written by Dom Emmanuel Flicoteaux OSB appeared in La Vie Spirituelle I The Christmas of Winter and the Christmas of Summer During the first three centuries of its existence, the Church concentrated her attention on the very person of the Word made Flesh as it needed, above all else, to become gently and slowly aware of the infinite riches of light and grace contained in the holy humanity of Christ Jesus, in whom resides that fullness of Divine life whose superabundance flows into all the members of his Mystical Body. To adore Christ as the only Son of God, to recognise and invoke him as the source of all holiness, to follow and imitate him as the model of perfect life—this, one might say, was the sole concern …

Iran is consistently inconsistent, contradicting the US at every turn: Negotiations are likely to be a long, difficult slog, and maximum patience is called for.
The Iranians have been crystal-clear and unchanging about all of the main points in their 14-point document since long before the document was released. They consistently deny that they have agreed to what the US says they've agreed to because the US is consistently lying about it for the purpose of affecting markets and forming western public opinion. The Iranians haven't changed, the US is lying, and the rest of the world (ex-EU) is watching and knows it.
The proximity of the consistory (Friday and Saturday) to the FSSPX consecrations (Wednesday) has allegedly prompted Leo XIV to remove the liturgy from the consistory's agenda. This information was published by Nico Spuntoni on IlGiornale.it, who cited an anonymous cardinal as his source. Although "synodality" was already discussed in January, it has returned to the agenda. Spuntoni adds three more pieces of information. - Notable absences at the consistory due to ill health include conservative Cardinals Joseph Zen (Hong Kong), Péter Erdő (Budapest), and Willem Eijk (Utrecht). - There is unease among the professed members and religious sisters of the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X, who do not wish to risk incurring a possible excommunication. - The consistory's agenda has not generally generated enthusiasm among cardinals. Some also dislike the Synod Secretariat's method of working in small groups. #newsSdvnwboncj
